On the news front, Shopify's net loss for the first quarter widened from $270 million in the same period last year to $680 million, with a loss of $0.53 per share, while the market expected earnings of $0.17 per share; Revenue increased by 27% year-on-year to $2.36 billion, exceeding expectations of $2.33 billion.
