According to statistics, excluding companies that have already been delisted, the total number of employees of 109 A-share photovoltaic companies in 2024 was 638,700. In 2023, this number was 782,600. In other words, in 2024, many photovoltaic companies have initiated a "downsizing" mode, with the above 109 A-share photovoltaic companies reducing their workforce by more than 140,000. The changes in the number of photovoltaic industry personnel precisely reflect the ups and downs of the domestic photovoltaic industry in the past two to three years. Earlier, high salaries, high bonuses, and high dividends were common in major photovoltaic companies. During the industry's rapid growth, it also attracted many job seekers to "move towards the light". However, now that the enthusiasm has faded, under the pressure of supply and demand mismatch, photovoltaic companies have had to reduce costs and increase efficiency, and downsizing is inevitable.
