Received bribes of more than 26.21 million yuan, Song Yufeng, former director of the Social Construction Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, was sentenced to eleven years and four months.

On May 8th, the Intermediate People's Court of Zunyi City, Guizhou Province publicly sentenced Song Yufeng, former Director of the Social Construction Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, for bribery. The defendant Song Yufeng was sentenced to eleven years and four months in prison for the crime of bribery, and was fined one million yuan; the ill-gotten gains and interests obtained from the crime of bribery by the defendant Song Yufeng were confiscated according to law, and turned over to the national treasury. After trial, it was found that from 2009 to 2023, the defendant Song Yufeng used his positions as the former President of Guizhou Medical College, former Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Guizhou Provincial Health Department, former Director of the Guizhou Food and Drug Administration, Director of the Guizhou Provincial Medical Security Bureau, and Vice Chairman of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress Legal Committee, and Director of the Social Construction Committee to provide assistance in company operations, project contracts, fund disbursements, etc. to relevant units and individuals, illegally accepting a total amount of more than 26.21 million yuan in bribes, some of which were not actually obtained.
