India's wind power industry enters the track of recovery, and locally-made wind turbines have become the star.
The Indian wind power industry has entered a recovery track, with annual growth achieved every year in the past four years. This is in stark contrast to the period after the introduction of competitive bidding in 2017 to replace feed-in tariffs, as well as the subsequent downturn during the COVID-19 pandemic. Local wind turbine manufacturers Suzlon and Inox Wind have seen a sharp increase in orders, with the net profits of both companies expected to turn positive after eight years.
