Ecuador implements new entry quarantine requirements, Chinese Embassy in Ecuador reminds.
On May 8th, the Chinese Embassy in Ecuador issued a notice reminding Chinese citizens to pay attention to and comply with the latest entry requirements for epidemic prevention in Ecuador. According to a notification from the Ministry of Health of Ecuador, in order to prevent and control the spread of yellow fever, starting from May 12, 2025, all travelers of Peruvian, Colombian, Bolivian, and Brazilian nationalities, or travelers from other countries who have transited or stayed in the above-mentioned four countries for more than 10 days, are required to present a valid international certificate of yellow fever vaccination when entering Ecuador. In order to avoid travel disruptions, the Chinese Embassy in Ecuador reminds Chinese citizens planning to travel from Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, or Brazil to Ecuador to receive the yellow fever vaccination in advance and carry the corresponding vaccination certificate with them for inspection upon entry.
