OpenAI CEO Sam Altman hinted at his willingness to cooperate with Elon Musk to end their conflicts and work together towards achieving artificial general intelligence (AGI). It is worth noting that Musk and Altman have a complicated history as they co-founded OpenAI and are now competitors in the same field. On Saturday, Musk and Altman were involved in a spat about their previous criticism of Trump. Musk first quoted a tweet from Y Combinator co-founder Paul Graham, which said, "Few have done more to defeat Trump than Sam Altman." This referred to a tweet Musk posted in 2022 mocking Trump for being too old to continue in politics. Altman also reached out to Musk, saying, "Whatever happens, let's meet next week and be friends. Tan Zhu took note that just before the talks, China signed letters of intent with Argentine exporters to purchase soybeans, corn, and vegetable oil. At the end of April, the Chief Minister of the Brazilian Presidential Palace, Costa, visited China and Tan Zhu learned that Brazil hopes to reach a sustainable, long-term, implementable cooperation with China to jointly address the current complex and severe international situation. In early April, China had just signed a purchase contract for at least 2.4 million tons of soybeans with Brazil, which is equivalent to nearly one-third of its usual monthly import volume. It can be seen that just before the Sino-US talks, China is seeking alternatives to American products from various sources.
