Powell: The Fed's policy "is prepared"

Although President Trump's tariff threat is escalating, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell still believes that the Fed's policy is appropriate. He said at a post-meeting press conference, "The risks of rising unemployment and inflation seem to have increased. We believe that the current monetary policy stance gives us the ability to respond in a timely manner to potential economic developments."
