With the closing of the annual report in 2024, the latest audit landscape of A-shares has surfaced. Wind data shows that as of now, a total of 5411 annual reports have been disclosed in the A-share market, of which 5391 have disclosed the actual audit fees paid during the reporting period, totaling 9.708 billion yuan. Among them, Ernst & Young took the lead with audit fees of 1.388 billion yuan (152 companies), with an average price of 9.1316 million yuan. It is worth mentioning that four companies in the A-share market with annual audit fees exceeding one billion yuan (Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, and Ping An Insurance) were all taken care of by Ernst & Young. In 2024, due to the impact of the "single order wave," PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and Zhongtian dropped out of the top ten in terms of fees disclosed for A-share annual audits, with a total of only 1.25 billion yuan disclosed (21st Century Business Herald).
