Nordic countries plan to introduce an offline bank card payment system to prevent network interruptions.

Thomas Wallimaki, a member of the board of the Bank of Finland, stated on Wednesday that Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Estonia are planning to introduce an offline banking card payment system to provide backup services when the network connection is interrupted.
