Huilite Company has applied for bankruptcy to implement a plan supported by creditors that will reduce about $1.15 billion of debt from its balance sheet. The company struggled to compete with weight loss drugs like Ozelympic and found it difficult to convince customers that their weight loss program was still worth their time with these drugs available. Huilite Body reported a 9.7% decrease in revenue in the first quarter of this year, a 14.2% decrease in end-of-quarter subscription users, and a net loss of $72.6 million.
