According to the Smart Finance APP, the Hong Kong Mandatory Provident Fund Research Institute has released the MPF ratings. In April, the investment market was volatile, but the MPF successfully recovered from the sharp drop at the beginning of the month. Based on the "MPF Rating All Funds Performance Index," the final slight monthly decline was approximately 0.61%. This slight decline in April was the second monthly loss for the Hong Kong MPF in 2025, but with the market recovering in late April, the MPF has remained positive for the year-to-date. In terms of amount, the MPF investment loss in April was approximately 8.2 billion Hong Kong dollars, with an average loss of about 1,700 Hong Kong dollars per person. However, since the beginning of the year, there has been an investment return of approximately 26.6 billion Hong Kong dollars, with an average accumulated return of about 5,600 Hong Kong dollars per person.
