Institution: Uncertainty and Risks Increase in the Second Half of the Year for the MLCC Market.
According to the latest MLCC research report from TrendForce, as the risk aversion and wait-and-see attitude of enterprises and end markets continue to increase, the supply-demand pace of MLCCs in the first half of 2025 has been disrupted, and the risk of "off-season not being prosperous" in the second half of the year has also risen. According to the organization's survey, OEMs and ODMs have successively advanced the shipment of North American Chromebook and some consumer laptop orders to the first quarter, leading to unexpectedly weak momentum for the traditional education laptop stocking season starting in April. Based on the orders forecast for the second quarter of Dell and HP education laptops obtained by MLCC suppliers, the average quarterly decrease is 20% to 25%. Whether OEMs plan to advance some North American orders for the third quarter to the second quarter for shipment, thereby affecting the shipment intensity in the second half of the year, will be a key observation point.
