On May 7th, Volvo Cars released the all-new hybrid architecture SMA (Scalable Modular Architecture). This architecture will work alongside Volvo's pure electric architecture SPA2 to drive Volvo's transformation towards electrification in a dual-power mode. The SMA architecture will cover vehicle sizes ranging from medium to large, with powertrain options including two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The first hybrid model based on the SMA architecture, the XC70, will be launched in September and will be positioned as a large SUV. The pure electric range under standard operating conditions is expected to reach over 200 kilometers, with a price estimated to be between 400,000 and 500,000 yuan. (Jiemian News)
