Microsoft releases two Surface PCs that can run AI models, and the starting price of the Surface Laptop is discounted by $100 compared to last year's model.
On May 6th, Microsoft launched two new next-generation Copilot+ PCs that can run artificial intelligence models without the need for an internet connection. These devices have a similar appearance to earlier versions that users are familiar with. One is a Surface Pro convertible tablet with a stand and optional keyboard slot. The other is a more traditional Surface Laptop. The new models are priced lower than the models Microsoft introduced last year, when the company also released the Copilot+ PC Standard Edition, which comes with the company's so-called neural processing unit. With U.S. President Trump announcing comprehensive tariffs on imported goods last month, consumers and businesses are preparing to cope with rising costs, making lower prices crucial.
