Reporters learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that on the 6th, the ministry organized a flood control consultation to arrange and deploy flood prevention and response work in the southern region. Relevant forecasts show that in the next few days, there will be a strong rainfall process in most parts of the Jiangnan region, the eastern and northern parts of southern China, the eastern part of southwestern China, and the southern part of the Jianghuai region. During this heavy rainfall process, there will be heavy to torrential rain in the eastern and southern parts of Hunan, the central and eastern parts of Jiangxi, the western part of Zhejiang, the western part of Fujian, the southern part of Anhui, and the northeast of Guangxi. As a result, there will be a significant rise in water levels in the main rivers such as the Xiangjiang, Zihe, and Yuanjiang in the Dongting Lake watershed in Hunan, the Ganjiang, Fuhe, and Raohe in the Poyang Lake watershed in Jiangxi, the Guijiang in Guangxi, the Minjiang in Fujian, and the Qiantang River in Zhejiang. Some rivers in the heavy rain area may experience floods exceeding the warning level.
