Bank of America executive: Limited capital inflows in European markets, America still more favored by capital.
The head of Bank of America's European, Middle Eastern, and African markets stated that the recent surge of interest in the European market does not necessarily mean the beginning of a long-term, structural shift. The department saw a 23% increase in revenue in the first quarter, marking the best performance in that period on record. However, Brian Weinstein believes there is not enough evidence to support the notion that capital is shifting from the US to Europe on a large scale and permanently. Weinstein stated that many institutional investors have a wait-and-see approach towards the European market. "Are people making structural changes? No. It's just small-scale flowing into Europe."
