Tesla's Tao Lin: More than 60 Chinese suppliers have entered Tesla's global procurement system.

Tesla released a video stating that the localization rate of Model 3 and refreshed Model Y produced at the Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory has exceeded 95%, which means that over 95% of the parts in each Model 3 and refreshed Model Y purchased by consumers are made in China. Subsequently, Tesla's Vice President, Tao Lin, reposted the video and wrote that domestic consumers can buy Model 3/Y at the world's lowest prices, thanks to the "Chinese manufacturing" at the Shanghai Gigafactory. "I am very proud to work with more than 400 local supply chain partners in China to pursue the best quality, highest efficiency, and optimal cost, in order to create the best products for millions of users in domestic, Asia-Pacific, and European markets. I am also honored that we have introduced more than 60 suppliers into Tesla's global procurement system, helping everyone to move towards a broader global stage."
