Recently, a visually impaired blogger and their guide dog were refused entry to a Huazhu Group hotel, sparking heated discussions. According to the video released by the blogger, they tried to check in at a Ji Hotel near Shenzhen North Railway Station with their guide dog. Despite having made an online reservation in advance and communicating with the hotel through multiple phone calls, they were rejected on the grounds of "lack of relevant reception mechanism." Eventually, with the intervention of the police and hotel front desk, the blogger was arranged to stay at another nearby hotel. In response, Huazhu Group Customer Service stated that all hotels in their range, from budget to high-end, are required to accept guide dogs according to the law, and they have taken punitive action against the hotel in question.
