IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said in an interview that he sees an opportunity in providing software that can integrate customers' artificial intelligence agents from other vendors, including Salesforce, Workday, and Adobe, and allowing customers to build their own agents for use cases that have not yet been developed with the help of IBM. "We help customers integrate. We want to meet customers' needs," Krishna said. The tools IBM provides to help customers create their own agents (a process IBM says can be completed in five minutes) draw on IBM's Granite series of artificial intelligence models as well as alternatives from Meta Platforms and Mistral. In April of this year, IBM also announced a $150 billion investment in the United States over the next five years. IBM has a history of over 60 years in producing large computers in the United States. Krishna said they will also produce quantum computers in the United States. He said, "Between large computers, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing, we believe there will be a very healthy market worth our investment and focus."
