Midday Report: ChiNext Index Up 2% in Half a Day, Over 4800 Stocks in Both Markets Rise

The Shanghai Composite Index returned to 3300 points, while the ChiNext Index rose 2% in the first half of the day. In terms of sectors, the controllable nuclear fusion sector surged, with shares of Zhongzhou Special Materials and Jiusheng Electric seeing a 20% increase; the rare earth sector strengthened, with stocks such as Huayang New Materials, Jingyuntong, and Shenghe Resources hitting the limit up; gold stocks were active overall, with Sichuan Gold leading in gains; most bank stocks were adjusting, with Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank leading in losses; the tourism and hotel sector showed weak fluctuations, with Huangshan Tourism and Santtech Cableway leading in losses. Overall, there were more rising stocks than falling ones, with over 4800 stocks rising. By midday, the Shanghai Composite Index was at 3309.95 points, up 0.94%; the Shenzhen Component Index was at 10064.21 points, up 1.66%; and the ChiNext Index was at 1987.04 points, up 2%. On the market, the controllable nuclear fusion, metal new material, and rare earth permanent magnet sector led in gains, while the bank, tourism, and hotel sectors were leading in losses.
