Shenzhen ranks second among the most popular cities for inbound tourism in China.
On May 5th, the "May Day" Golden Week, when the "holiday economy" effect was in full swing, came to an end. During the "May Day" period, Shenzhen received a total of 6.9636 million visitors, an increase of 36.3% compared to the previous year, and achieved tourism revenue of 5.432 billion yuan, an increase of 40.8% compared to the previous year. Shenzhen not only ranks among the top ten popular domestic tourist destinations, but also ranks second in the country in terms of inbound tourism, with a 188% increase in inbound tourism orders, thanks to policies such as 240 hours transit visa-free and "buy now, refund now" shopping tax refunds.
