On Monday (May 5), New York spot gold rose by 2.84% to $3332.56 per ounce in the closing session, fluctuating upwards throughout the day, reaching $3337.66 per ounce at 03:40 Beijing time, approaching $3400 and the historical highest record of $3500.10 set on April 22. COMEX gold futures rose by 3.04% to $3342.00 per ounce, reaching $3346.70 per ounce at 03:04, also reaching $3509.90 per ounce on April 22, setting a new intraday historical high. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up by 2.80% at 184.42 points. Component stocks of Jin Tian Company rose by 7.92%, Harmoni Gold rose by 5.85%, Hekla Mining rose by 5.51%, while the Fourth Freeport saw a decrease of 0.66%, being the only component stock to fall.
