There have been reports that NIO cars experienced network disconnection issues during the Labor Day holiday due to insufficient data usage. On May 5th, NIO responded to reporters that the app malfunction was not related to data usage, and that the technical department staff had been on duty during the Labor Day holiday, so there was no lack of supervision. NIO cars currently believe that the issue was due to a system malfunction, which has been fixed, and they are continuing to investigate to prevent similar problems from occurring again. On May 2nd, several NIO car owners reported on social media that they were unable to access the NIO official website, the NIO app was disconnected, and the remote vehicle control function was not working. It is noted that currently the NIO app and official website are back to normal.
