Reporters learned from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce that during the "May Day" holiday, key monitored businesses including department stores, supermarkets, specialty stores, restaurants, and e-commerce in Beijing achieved a total sales revenue of 5.34 billion yuan. The flow of customers in 60 key commercial districts across the city reached 38.826 million, an 8.3% increase compared to the previous year. Suning and GOME set up "old-for-new" counters, while JD.com partnered with recycling enterprises to provide a one-stop service for "online application - offline recycling - instant subsidy", promoting the upgrade of green consumption. During the "May Day" holiday, the combination of green renewal subsidies and discounts from businesses drove the sales of home appliances to 84,000 units, representing a 40% increase in daily sales volume compared to the pre-holiday period.
