Inconsistent U.S. tariff policy, Korean won against U.S. dollar exchange rate hit a new high in April in more than two years.

The Bank of Korea announced on the 4th that due to the impact of US tariff policies, the exchange rate of the Korean won against the US dollar fluctuated sharply in April, with the daily average amplitude reaching the highest level in over two years. Data shows that in April, the daily average amplitude of the Korean won against the US dollar exchange rate was 9.7 won, with a fluctuation rate of 0.67%, more than twice that of March, reaching a new high since November 2022.
