During this year's May Day holiday, enthusiasm for air travel among passengers was high, and Zhengzhou Airport experienced a peak in passenger flow. According to preliminary statistics, during the five-day holiday, Zhengzhou Airport ensured smooth travel for over 400,000 passengers. During this holiday, flights from Zhengzhou to Kunming, Urumqi, Haikou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Sanya, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing and other destinations were particularly popular. Over 3,000 flights were operated in and out of the airport, with an average of over 600 flights per day. The first day of the holiday was the busiest, with a total of 664 flights being operated. On May 5th, the last day of the holiday, Zhengzhou Airport planned to operate 637 flights in order to ensure that passengers returned home smoothly.
