Shenzhen issues zone-specific lightning warning signals.

On May 5, 2025, at 18:45, the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory issued a lightning warning signal for Nanshan District, Futian District, Baoan District, Guangming District, Longhua District, the Pearl River Estuary, and the Shenzhen Bay waters. It is expected that the above areas will be affected by lightning within 2 hours. Residents are advised to stay in safe places.
