According to Meituan Travel data, with various activities such as food tours, performances, clamming tours, and county tours driving the enthusiasm for travel, this year's "May Day" holiday saw a surge in cultural tourism popularity, with cultural tourism orders increasing by 30% compared to the same period in 2023. The top 10 popular destinations are Nanjing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Beijing, Chongqing, Changsha, Luoyang, Wuhan, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Among them, the online transaction volume of dining transactions contributed by out-of-town visitors increased by 189% compared to 2023. Meituan Travel data shows that this year's "May Day" holiday, post-95s' cultural tourism orders accounted for 45%, indicating a strong demand for personalized deep travel experiences. In addition, the leisure camping order volume increased by 390% year-on-year, with Beijing, Chengdu, Huzhou, Xi'an, and Hangzhou ranking among the top five in terms of order volume; club and exhibition-related order volume increased by over 200% year-on-year.
