Multiple places have released tourism data for the first three days before May Day, with Heilongjiang and other places seeing a year-on-year increase in tourist volume of over 12%.
On May 4th, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, during the first three days of the "May Day" holiday, various regions launched a variety of rich tourism products, strengthened the integration of culture and tourism with technology, improved management levels and service quality, and boosted the flourishing of tourism consumption during the "May Day" holiday.
As the holiday passed the halfway mark, many places released their tourism "report cards", showing that tourist attractions, resorts, leisure districts, rural tourism, and red tourism products were all well received. As of 2 pm on May 3rd, Zhejiang Province has received a total of 23.748 million visitors, an increase of 12.9% compared to the same period last year. During the first three days of the "May Day" holiday, Heilongjiang Province received a total of 9.215 million tourists, an increase of 13.8% compared to the previous year. A-level tourist attractions in Hubei Province received a total of 12.1703 million tourists, an increase of 24.15% compared to the previous year. In Jiangsu Province, 195 key rural tourism villages above the provincial level received a total of 3.3701 million visitors, with a total tourist expenditure of 1.042 billion yuan, an increase of 4.15% and 2.97% respectively compared to the same period last year. In Gansu Province, rural tourism received 3.346 million visitors, with tourist spending reaching 1.154 billion yuan, an increase of 18.5% and 29.81% respectively compared to the same period last year. In Guangdong Province, 13 classic red tourism attractions received a total of 774,000 tourists, with an increase of 12.2% compared to the same period last year.
