The Romanian presidential election voting has begun.

On May 4th at 7am local time, the Romanian presidential election voting began, with a total of 17.98 million registered voters nationwide casting their ballots to elect the new president. There are 11 candidates participating in this election. A total of nearly 19,000 polling stations have been set up within Romania and abroad. Voting is scheduled to end at 9pm local time on the 4th. According to Romanian election law, if no candidate receives more than half of the votes, a second round of voting will be held on May 18th. The term of the Romanian president is 5 years.
