Tesla has released a dedicated USB flash drive with a capacity of 512GB, priced at 599 yuan, designed specifically for the Sentry Mode and dashcam features in vehicles. This USB drive was launched on May 3 on the Tesla App and WeChat mini program. Although the official specifications, such as read and write speeds, have not been provided, it meets Tesla's requirements for storage devices for Sentry Mode and dashcams, which include a storage space greater than or equal to 64GB, a continuous write speed of at least 4MB/s, and compatibility with USB 2.0. Currently, many car owners choose to assemble M.2 SSDs and hard drive cases to meet their vehicle's storage needs, but this method carries compatibility and stability risks. Although Tesla's official USB drive is relatively expensive, it provides a more reliable solution for car owners, ensuring the stable operation of the Sentry Mode and dashcam features and providing strong guarantees for vehicle safety and recordkeeping.
