When talking about the American economy, Buffett said: "The American economy has both a grand cathedral that has given birth to unprecedented prosperity, and also a huge casino. The cathedral provides goods and services for over 300 million people, while the casino allows everyone to have fun with money transactions coming and going." He added, "In the next 100 years, America must ensure that the cathedral is not replaced by the casino, this is crucial." Buffett further commented that this system is interesting and effective, distributing rewards in a seemingly extremely unpredictable manner.
