India bans Pakistani ships from entering ports, suspends sending and receiving of Pakistani mail parcels.
According to the central government reporter, on May 3rd local time, the Indian Shipping Authority announced that any ships flying the Pakistani flag are not allowed to dock at Indian ports. The notice stated that this order was issued to ensure the safety of Indian assets, goods, and related infrastructure, in line with the public interest and the interests of Indian shipping. In addition, the Indian Postal Department issued a notice on the same day, stating that the government has decided to temporarily suspend the air and land transport of mail and parcels entering from Pakistan. Earlier that day, India announced a ban on imports from Pakistan.
