Hong Kong elderly medical vouchers now cover 9 cities in the Greater Bay Area in Mainland China.

According to a message on the "Greater Bay Voice" Weibo account, the Hong Kong SAR government announced on May 2 the expansion of the "Elders Medical Voucher Greater Bay Area Pilot Scheme" by adding 12 medical institutions located in mainland cities within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. This will further facilitate eligible Hong Kong elderly individuals to use the elders medical voucher in the Greater Bay Area. The number of pilot medical institutions included in the pilot scheme will increase significantly from the current 7 to 19, covering all 9 mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area. Together with the Hong Kong University Shenzhen Hospital, there will be a total of 21 service points in the Greater Bay Area where the medical voucher can be used, benefiting over 1.78 million eligible elderly individuals from Hong Kong.
