The S&P 500 index closed up about 1.5% with the telecommunications, financial, and industrial sectors rising more than 2%, while the technology sector rose by 1.1%, ranking lower. The Nasdaq 100 index closed up 1.5%, with constituent stocks Decon Medical up 16.2%, Grail and AppLovin up over 9%, Pinduoduo ADR up over 4.5%, and Meta up over 4%, performing well, while Apple fell by 3.9%, ranking second to last. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up over 500 points, rising by 1.3%, with Nike, Caterpillar, American Express, and 3M all rising over 3%, and Goldman Sachs, Nvidia, IBM, and JPMorgan Chase rising over 2%, performing well, while Apple ranked last. The U.S. Big Tech Seven Giants Index rose by 0.7%, while the "Trump Tariff Losers Index" rose by 3.8%.
