Senior technical analyst Tom Demark says that the U.S. stock market may fall again in the coming months and eventually enter a bear market. Demark accurately predicted the market highs in February and lows in April this year, and he is well-known in the industry for providing advice to billionaire investors such as Paul Tudor Jones, Leon Cooperman, and Steve Cohen. Currently, a series of technical indicators, changes in sentiment, and cycle models are all warning that the S&P 500 index may fall below the intraday low of 4835 points set in early April. This would mean that the index has fallen more than 20% from its high in February, entering a technical bear market. "The top is nearing and the technicals have been seriously damaged," Demark said in a phone interview. "The current market is extremely fragile, and any rapid changes in global trade prospects could cause the stock market to suffer a major blow."
