Analyst Chris Anstey pointed out that there has been a lot of discussion about whether this non-farm payroll report reflects the "Biden economy" or the "Trump economy." By category, overall government jobs increased by 10,000, while healthcare and education jobs increased by 70,000, accounting for nearly half of the non-farm job growth in April. These categories of jobs are not what the Trump team was aiming for. They were looking for factory jobs, which have actually declined, making this not an ideal non-farm payroll report for the White House.
