Shandong issues yellow warning for severe convective weather, with localized small hail and short-term heavy rainfall.

On May 2, Shandong Province Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow alert for severe convective weather. It is expected that from the afternoon to the night of the 2nd, most areas of Shandong Province and responsible sea areas will experience a thunderstorm weather process, with an average rainfall of 2-5 millimeters throughout the province. In most areas, thunderstorms will be accompanied by 7-9 level strong winds, with areas around Heze, Jining, Zaozhuang, Linyi, Rizhao, Qingdao, Weifang, the southern part of the inland lake and the central part of the Yellow Sea experiencing 8-10 level winds. There may also be localized small hail and short-term heavy precipitation with rainfall exceeding 20 millimeters per hour.
