Over 600,000 people! Shenzhen Railway sets a new record on the first day of the May Day holiday.

Reporters learned from Shenzhen Railway that during the May Day holiday, railway travel was extremely popular, with passenger traffic remaining high since the start of railway transportation on April 29th. The enthusiasm for traveling among residents and tourists visiting Shenzhen during the holiday has increased significantly, with both outbound and inbound passenger traffic showing marked increases compared to the previous year. From April 29th to May 1st, the outbound and inbound passenger traffic in Shenzhen Railway reached 507,000, 678,000, and 944,000 respectively, with a continuous year-on-year increase of over 14% for three consecutive days, and a particularly high increase of 18.7% on the first day of the holiday. Data shows that on the first day of the holiday, Shenzhen Railway sent 550,000 passengers, an 18.7% year-on-year increase; and received 394,000 passengers, an 18.6% year-on-year increase.
