175,200 people flocked to Chengdu! Chengdu's "May Day" first day saw full throttle consumer spending.
According to "Chengdu Daily", on the first day of the "May Day" holiday, Chengdu's major shopping districts were crowded with people. Data from the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television shows that on the first day of the "May Day" holiday, there were 1.752 million out-of-town tourists in Chengdu, an increase of 5.7% compared to the same period last year. A-level tourist attractions in the city received 1.393 million visitors, an increase of 28.4% compared to the same period last year. From the luxurious Chengdu International Financial Center and the trendy landmark Taikoo Li, to the traditional and culturally rich Jinli Ancient Street and Kuanzhai Alley, as well as the popular check-in spots for young people such as Chengdu Media Group's East Suburb Memory and the International Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park, different forms of consumption scenes continue to heat up, blending international fashion with tradition and avant-garde art into a three-dimensional picture of "holiday economy".
