As of the close of the day, the price of light crude oil futures for June delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by $1.03 to settle at $59.24 per barrel, an increase of 1.77%; while the price of Brent crude oil futures for July delivery in London rose by $1.07 to settle at $62.13 per barrel, an increase of 1.75%.
