Journalists learned from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province that, according to preliminary estimates, on May 1st, 4A-level and above tourist attractions in Guangdong Province received 3.238 million visitors, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year. Along the 14 key areas of the ancient post road included in the monitoring, 484,000 visitors were received, an increase of 7.8% year-on-year; 13 red tourism classic attractions received 246,000 visitors, an increase of 7.5% year-on-year; 100 rural tourism spots and historic villages received 416,000 visitors, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year; and 80 key public cultural institutions received 181,000 visitors, an increase of 6.4% year-on-year.
