On the first day of this year's May Day holiday, the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang City, Gansu Province, welcomed a peak of visitors, with 6,000 regular tickets sold out early every day. According to the maximum carrying capacity, Mogao Grottoes currently sells 6,000 regular tickets every day, and visitors can watch two digital films and visit 8 caves with the tickets. During the May Day holiday, due to a significant increase in the number of visitors compared to usual, the Dunhuang Research Institute will timely activate the emergency visiting mode to meet the needs of more visitors. When the scenic area activates the emergency visiting mode, visitors can visit 4 large caves.
