Institution: In May, visibility of orders for photovoltaic modules decreased, with the midstream and upstream sectors entering a price decline zone.
According to TrendForce's consulting data on the photovoltaic industry, due to weakening demand, visibility of orders in May is poor, leading top manufacturers to reduce production and decrease outsourced orders. It is expected that production will decrease by over 10%. Second and third-tier manufacturers have insufficient orders and are resorting to price cuts to clear inventory. On the demand side, domestically, the stocking wave is coming to an end, with demand still waiting for ground power stations to start stocking. Overseas, in Europe, imported component prices are unstable; in India, post-fiscal year import demand seasonally declines; in the United States, component DDP prices are rising, with exemptions stimulating imports.
