The Indian government issued a notice on April 30 stating that India will close its airspace to Pakistani civilian and military aircraft from today until May 23. On the same day, officials in the Pakistan-controlled Kashmir region called on the international community to mediate in the tense situation between India and Pakistan, and stated that the local government is making humanitarian preparations to prevent the situation from escalating.
