A large-scale wildfire broke out in the suburbs of Jerusalem on April 30, and residents of multiple communities have been evacuated. Israeli Defense Minister Katz declared a "state of emergency" on the same day. The fire occurred in the mountainous area west of Jerusalem. The Israeli fire and rescue department has activated the national emergency plan and raised the alert level to the highest. Approximately 120 fire brigades from across the country, supported by multiple firefighting planes and helicopters, have been dispatched to five key areas for extinguishing, with 22 more teams on their way to the scene. The Israeli military stated that soldiers have been deployed to assist in firefighting and evacuation efforts, and aerial resources have been mobilized to provide real-time imagery. According to the Israeli public broadcasting company, the government has requested firefighting support from countries such as Greece, Cyprus, Croatia, and Italy.
