The US State Department announces a new round of sanctions related to Iran.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on April 30th local time that new sanctions will be imposed on entities engaged in Iranian oil and petrochemical trade. It is reported that this round of sanctions targets seven entities engaged in Iranian oil and petrochemical products trade, as well as two vessels belonging to a sanctioned maritime management company. According to the statement, five of the entities are headquartered in the United Arab Emirates.
