In recent years, China's ports have transformed into international tourist destinations, with an increasing number of foreigners coming to China on cruise ships. The country's first large domestic cruise ship, the "Aida-Magic City" completed its first year of operation in 2024 with a total of 84 voyages, hosting 600,000 passengers entering and exiting the country. From January to April 2025, it operated 29 voyages with over 200,000 passengers entering and exiting the country. This not only boosts the economy of the ports but also activates the upstream and downstream industry chains, becoming a new engine driving consumption. On April 28th, the second domestic cruise ship, "Aida-Flower City," made significant progress, successfully completing its floating in the dock, and is scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2026.
