It is reported that the US-Ukraine mining agreement encountered obstacles at the last minute.

According to reports citing three unnamed sources, the United States and Ukraine encountered obstacles at the final stage of signing a mineral framework agreement. The report indicated that a team led by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Beesnet told the Ukrainian side to "be ready to sign all agreements." Two Ukrainian officials disclosed that the U.S. hoped Ukraine would simultaneously sign the framework agreement and a detailed fund agreement to complete the entire mineral transaction. One Ukrainian official stated, "We are ready to sign the framework agreement today at any time."
