An explosion occurred in a residential compound in Taiyuan, Shanxi, causing 1 death, 21 injuries, and 2 people missing.

On April 30th around 1pm, an explosion occurred in Fengjing Jiayuan residential area in Xiaodian district, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters immediately entered the building to conduct a thorough search and rescue operation. According to information from the rescue command center at the scene, the explosion has resulted in 1 fatality, 21 injuries, including 6 severe injuries and 15 minor injuries. The condition of the severely injured individuals is stable, while 2 individuals are still missing. A rescue command center has been set up at the scene to carry out rescue operations, treat the injured, and arrange accommodations. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
